PNEUMATIC CONVEYING

APPLICATION PARAMETERS PRESSURE EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE 2014/68/EU

HAUPTMENÜ MAIN MENU

Rule of thumb for pneumatic conveying of bulk materials of hazard group 2 ESSER pipelines for pneumatic conveying are designed in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive as standard. They comply with the conformity assessment procedure Article 4 Paragraph 3 (Category 0) for non-hazardous fluids. To check whether your pneumatic conveying system falls into this category, the following rule of thumb applies: Pmax x ND <= 1000 Maximum operating pressure [bar] x nominal diameter of the pipe [mm] <= 1000.

If the results are higher, please contact us to discuss how to proceed with the project planning.

Application parameters What parameters must a pipe meet in your application? To ensure short processing times for inquiries and optimum selection of piping components, please always provide us with the following information:

Pumped media

What is conveyed? Grain size? Texture? Hardness?

Lean phase? Medium phase? Dense phase? Conveying speed?

Conveying type

Group 1 - Hazardous fluids

Hazard group

(explosive, flammable, toxic, oxidizing)

Group 2 - All other fluids

Operating pressure

How high is the operating pressure in your system?

Nominal diameter

How big is the required nominal diameter?

Temperature

Specify the maximum operating temperature.
