Tailings or construction materials (concrete) are often transported underground for kilometers. High-density solids pumps with high working pressures are used in this application. ESSER high-pressure pipes with multiple degrees of hardness are used in these systems. Neuralgic points can be reinforced (elbows and elbow outlet pipes). ESSER TWIN 900 ELBOW Wear-layer consists of special, hard cast iron (67 HRC) and are designed with thicker walls in the back. ESSER TWIN 900 OUTLET PIPE The elbow forces a change of direction for the pumped material. If the flow direction is straightened, there is still turbulence exposing the downstream pipe to increased wear. We recommend placing a reinforced outlet pipe after elbows and bends.
