IDENTIFICATION OF ELBOWS TO BE USED WITH TRUCK MOUNTED CONCRETE PUMPS & TRUCK MIXER CONCRETE PUMPS

MAIN MENU

If an elbow cannot be clearly identified because type plates are missing or illegible, or if the piping plan and spare parts list of the machine are not available, a determination is nevertheless possible by specifying certain dimensions

Tell us the machine type, if available the serial number and manufacturer.

Give us the position within the pipeline (e.g.: third arm, deck, behind the reducer, etc.)

In most boom positions, the last and next to the last boom arm are showing downwards. The concrete flow will interrupt and the concrete falls vertically into this elbow. That causes an extremely high impact wear. We recommend using one impact elbow for pumps up to three boom arms. By four and more boom arms two impact elbows should be used. A comparably high wear load occurs with the 90- degree elbows in the turret. Due to the pulsating pump thrust, similar effects can occur as with the impact elbows in the boom. In this case here we recommend the use of special turret elbows. The second last elbow in the boom is exposed to extremely high wear. Position the elbow in this way that you can take the measurements over the longitudinal section. 3 4 Give us the weld-end style in the inlet and outlet of the elbow. (e.g.: 5,5SK both sides or 5,5SK- 5,5SK...)
